Real Estate Investing
Real estate investing has been a popular way
to invest money for decades. Many people have made
their fortune investing in real estate. When the housing
market is booming, real estate investing was easy, see
How
do I get started in real estate investing. When the
housing market has cooled down, it is harder to make a real
estate investment pay off. With more people trying to make a
living with real estate investing, the market has become
competitive especially for new real estate investors
starting out.
Real estate investing is not for
everyone
|
While anyone can invest in
real estate, not everyone will make money.
There are many down sides and drawbacks to real
estate investing. As with any investment, you
need to do a lot of research before you invest
in any real estate properties. Since real
estate investing is a profitable industry, so
is education
in real estate investing.

There are many real estate gurus, some
successful real estate investors themselves while others can
only teach, offering courses and education in real estate
investing for new investors. See, pros and cons of
real estate investing.
No money down, no credit required
Some real estate gurus claim that you don't
need any money or good credit to invest in real estate.
They use the terms such as 'no money down', 'borrow other
people's credit' to lure new real estate investors hoping to
make money fast to learn about real estate investing from them.
While it makes sense in theory that you can invest in real
estate with no money down, it is difficult especially when you
are new to real estate investing and luck is not on your side.
The mortgage and real estate laws have also changed to make it
harder for people to borrow other people's money to invest as
well as borrow their credit.
Grant for investing in real estate
Most people don't want to use their own
money to invest in real estate. Why? It is risky to risk your
own money so they prefer to borrow from banks, private real
estate investors or hard money lenders to invest with. Some new
investors simply don't have the money to invest but still want
a stab at real estate investing. In practice it is harder than
you may have heard to borrow money to invest in real estate.
You need to have a great property and terms all lined up. The
real estate deal must be very sweet. Alternatively, sometimes
you can get a grant for investing
in real estate. There are various grants to invest in real
estate. But, again, the deal must be right and complies to
the rules of the grants.
Before investing in real estate, get the
proper education so that you are comfortable with your
investments. Before actually putting money down, you should
have real estate
exit strategies lined up. For frequently asked questions
about real estate investing, see Real Estate Investing
